Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026. This page describes how OmniTrust handles data received from participating stores, distinct from the privacy policy of any individual merchant's own shop.

Who we are

OmniTrust operates a cross-merchant fraud consensus network on a single shared backend. Store plugins - currently PrestaShop and WooCommerce plugins, with more platforms planned - send order and abuse-report signals to that backend so risk verdicts can be shared across participating stores. This policy covers that backend processing; it does not cover a merchant's own shop software or checkout, which is governed by that merchant's own privacy policy.

What we collect at report time

When a store plugin evaluates an order or a merchant reports abuse (COD non-collection, wardrobing/return abuse), it sends identifiers associated with that order to OmniTrust: phone number, email address, and shipping address. These identifiers travel over HTTPS.

Hashed on arrival, never stored raw

Phone, email, and address identifiers are hashed immediately on arrival, server-side, with a keyed HMAC. Raw values are never stored or matched against each other - only the hash is retained and compared. Other merchants, and OmniTrust staff, only ever see the hash, never the underlying phone number, email address, or shipping address.

Cross-merchant matching and scoring

Hashed identifiers are combined across all participating stores using Bayesian-smoothed scoring: when the same hashed identifier is reported or seen at multiple stores, the resulting risk signal strengthens accordingly, without requiring a fixed number of independent confirmations. This cross-store matching is the core purpose of the network - a single store's data is deliberately combined with signals from other stores to catch abuse that no individual merchant could see alone.

Essential storage on this site

This page stores your cookie choice in localStorage under prestawach_consent (granted or rejected), the same key used across the wider prestawach.com-hosted estate, so your consent choice is remembered without the banner reappearing on every page.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

Pages under /omnitrust/ use their own Google Analytics 4 property, separate from the property used by other prestawach.com pages, to understand aggregate traffic and how visitors navigate this subsite. Until you choose Accept analytics on our cookie banner, analytics storage stays denied under Google Consent Mode. If you accept, we grant analytics_storage only; we do not enable ad personalization or ad storage cookies on this site.
